POZNAN, Poland (AP) -- The first solar-powered car to travel around the world has ended its journey, pulling up at a U.N. climate talks with the message that clean technologies are already available to stop global warming.

The small two-seater, pulling a trailer of solar cells, drove up Thursday to a conference center in Poznan, Poland, where some 190 nations are working toward a new treaty to control climate change.
Louis Palmer, the 36-year-old adventurer and school teacher who made the trip, says it's the first round-the-world journey made by a solar-powered car.
His arrival marks the end of a 32,000 mile (52,000 kilometer) journey that began in Lucerne, Switzerland, 17 months ago and took him through 38 countries
