EPA's Residential Air Cleaners (Second Edition): A Summary of Available Information
This publication focuses on air cleaners for residential use; it does not address air cleaners used in large or commercial structures such as office buildings, schools, large apartment buildings, or public buildings. It should be particularly useful to residential housing design professionals, public health officials, and indoor air quality professionals.
Workshop on the Health Risks of Indoor Exposure to Particulate Matter
The Institute of Medicine of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine held a public workshop on February 10-11, 2016 to discuss the state of the science on the health effects of indoor exposure to particulate matter. This workshop featured presentations and discussions regarding the ailments that are most affected by particular matter and the attributes of the exposures that are of greatest concern, exposure modifiers, vulnerable populations, exposure assessment, risk management, and gaps in the science.
Clean Cooking Implementation Science Network (ISN)
The NIH, in partnership with USAID, the CDC, the EPA and the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves (GACC), launched a Clean Cooking Implementation Science Network (ISN) to advance the science of uptake and scale-up of clean cooking technology in the developing world. Sustained, near-exclusive use of clean cooking technology is understood to be key to improving multiple important health outcomes by reducing exposure to household air pollution.
